Your choir could be performing Bruckner’s ‘Locus iste’ with one of the world’s greatest vocal ensembles this November in London!
Chamber choir Tenebrae has a reputation for heart-stoppingly beautiful singing and a shelf heaving with awards for their recordings.
This autumn, you and your choir could be performing Bruckner’s gorgeous motet ‘Locus iste’ with Tenebrae as part of a concert at St James’s Church, Spanish Place, London.
Nigel Short, artistic director of the choir says: “‘Locus iste’ was probably the very first piece of music by Bruckner I sang when a choir boy and it was a favourite of the whole choir.
“Its beauty is in its simplicity and understatement and yet, within the short space of this two-minute piece, Bruckner still manages to venture far and wide harmonically and dynamically, making it something of a dynamo motet!”
To be in with a chance of winning, your choir must send a simple audio recording of their performance of Bruckner’s ‘Locus iste’ to locusiste@tenebrae-choir.com.
Applications close on 10 September 2015 and the winner will be announced on 24 September 2015.
