Classic FM Album of the Week, from Monday 14 December, after 10am.

On this new collection from the ever-excellent choir of Trinity College Cambridge, lesser known Christmas music from Nordic countries rubs shoulders with superb close-harmony arrangements of festive favourites.

Among the highlights are: an exhilaratingly cheeky version of Jingle Bells, originally written for The Swingle Singers; Ola Gjeilo's arrangement of Holst's In the bleak mid-winter which has an American a cappella feel; and Owain Park's arrangement of Have yourself a merry little Christmas sets the tune is full of jazz-tinged harmonic twists.

All in all, this is a diverse collection, superbly performed by a choir whose enjoyment of the music is evident in every track.
