The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra at Classic FM Live

The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra are the guest orchestra tonight at Classic FM Live. Classic FM's Tim Lihoreau has been speaking to the orchestra's French Horn player Chris Morley.

The RLPO is the oldest surviving professional symphony orchestra in the UK. They have enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with Classic FM since 2001 when the orchestra became the first to enter into a ground-breaking partnership with Classic FM which saw it adopted as the station’s ‘Orchestra in North West England'.

Classic FM and the Liverpool Phil have since worked together on a wide range of initiatives, including the introduction of the the Classic FM Concert Series which have successfully encouraged people to go out and enjoy live classical music.

Classic FM Live saw the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic accompanying the likes of Benjamin Grosvenor, Charlie Siem and Noah Stewart through some of the most popular classical pieces.

Tim Liheoreau spoke to RLPO French Horn player Chris Morley backstage at the Royal Albert Hall ahead of the concert.
