Legendary tenor Plácido Domingo has announced details of his new album, due for UK release on December 3rd.

Plácido Domingo's new album, Songs, is to feature a huge range of guests and performances of songs from the pop repertoire, many recorded for the first time. It is due for UK release on December 3rd.

Guests on the album include Katherine Jenkins (who appears on 'Come What May'), Josh Groban (who duets with Domingo on 'Sous le ciel de Paris') and Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle.

Commenting on still having the creative spark at the age of 71, Domingo simply says: "If I rest, I rust."

Other pop repertoire included on the album will also feature 'Time After Time' (with Harry Connick Jr.), 'The Girl From Ipanema' and 'What a Wonderful World', which features vocals from Domingo's son, Plácido Domingo Jr.

It is the first album Domingo has recorded since signing exclusively to Sony Classical, and his first album featuring pop songs in over 20 years.
