Soprano Laura Wright's new music video is raising eyebrows in the classical music world, showing her stripping off and doing gymnastics while performing 'Barber's Agnus Dei/The Sound Of Strength'.

Wright told The Telegraph that she hopes the video will inspire young girls by showing them a strong role model. "I want to empower young girls and show them strength is beautiful," she said of her well-honed physical appearance.

She did admit, though, that her record label, Decca, weren't sure about the concept at first, saying, "My record label had to be persuaded."

The video also features parkour performers leaping around what looks like an abandoned car park.

The song itself sees Wright performing a dance-influenced version of Samuel Barber's Agnus Dei (better known for having the same melody as his Adagio for Strings). It also includes a spoken-word introduction quoting the first stanza of Rudyard Kipling's poem, 'If'.
