Lang Lang Meets Britain's Young Stars

In recent years, Chinese piano maestro Lang Lang has established a reputation as one of the world's greatest classical stars.

Since making his Western breakthrough in 1999, Lang Lang has toured the globe with many of the world's leading orchestras and conductors and performed for his country in the 2008 Beijing Olympics opening ceremony, which was viewed by over 5 billion people.

However despite his busy schedule, Lang Lang recently took time out to inspire some of Britain's very own classical talent. The LSO Discovery Piano Extravaganza workshop provided a unique opportunity for a group of children and adults of all ages - ranging from grade 2 to professional standard players- from across the UK to play alongside and learn from the world-renowned star.
