Pianists Lang Lang and Ludovico Einaudi have both been confirmed to perform at this year's Classic BRITs award ceremony on October 2nd.

Alongside the two legendary pianists, Australian saxophonist Amy Dickson will also be performing on the night.

Chinese pianist Lang Lang will be making his third appearance at the awards ceremony since debuting in 2007. He was nominated for a Classic BRIT last year in the Best Male category. He has also previously performed at the Classic BRITs alongside legendary jazz pianist Herbie Hancock.

Pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi will continue his exceptional year with his first ever Classic BRITs performance, after releasing his hugely successful In A Time Lapse album (notable for 72% of its sales being digital rather than physical).

Amy Dickson also enjoyed classical chart success earlier this year with a no. 1 for her debut LP, Dusk and Dawn, which saw her arranging classical standards for the saxophone.

The Classic BRITs will also feature a tribute to the previously announced winner of the Outstanding Contribution award, film soundtrack composer Hans Zimmer. Zimmer is best known for composing the scores to films like Pirates of the Caribbean and The Dark Knight.

The awards ceremony will be broadcast on ITV1 in the Autumn.
