The Maltese Tenor Joseph Calleja is currently on a picturesque walking holiday in Cornwall, but found time to post videos of himself singing in the area.

Calleja, who is more likely to be found performing in the UK's opera houses than traversing its craggy edges, is apparently enjoying his holiday so much that he posted a video of himself singing to a cow on his Facebook page.

The cow was, however, reasonably unimpressed with the tenor's soaring attempts at bovine kinship.

Calleja also found time to sing, unamplified, at the Minack Theatre in Porthcurno:

Again, though his efforts were valiant, he was unable to illicit any kind of reaction from passers-by (of which there were none, to be fair).

Calleja will be taking to the stage at the Royal Opera House throughout January in a production of Verdi's Un Ballo in Maschera.
