Hélène Grimaud is a world-class pianist who loves the company of wolves, writes novels and fearlessly re-interprets the great classics.
She discovered the piano at seven. By nine, she was in love with “the pure pleasure and evasion of being at that instrument.” In 1982, she entered the Conservatoire de Paris where, three years later, she won first prize in piano performance.
