The Classic FM Live veteran (at the tender age of 26) and top soprano Hayley Westenra talks to Jane Jones before she takes to the stage.

Ahead of her performance of Ennio Morricone's 'La Califfa' at Classic FM Live, Westenra chatted about her career to date, and the comparative freedom she has in relation to many of her contemporaries in the classical world.

Morricone, it turns out, has been a huge inspiration to Westenra since she collaborated with him in Rome for an entire album's worth of songs, in his studio. "He had very clear ideas as to how I should perform a song and he knew if I wasn't giving my all. It was amazing."
