The pressure's off the Choir of St John's College Cambridge for this year, but the new year is already shaping up to being pretty hectic.
January 1st 2011 marks the first anniversary of the signing of the Choir’s three-year recording contract with Chandos.
Director Andrew Nethsingha is already in the mood for their next recording project, a Christmas disc:
"It's better to record a Christmas disc in January when there's snow all around rather than in July, which is what some choirs end up doing."
In February 2011 the Choir will be performing Haydn’s Creation along with Britten Sinfonia to celebrate the founding of St John’s College Cambridge by Lady Margaret Beaufort, mother of King Henry VII.
Choir members Dominic Collingwood and Basil McDonald join Andrew Nethsingha for the interview, telling Classic FM about their experiences with the choir.
