Amore on getting signed and secret performances

Operatic four-piece Amore join Tim Lihoreau to sample some champers ahead of performing Verdi's rousing drinking song, Libiamo ne' lieti calici.

If you're looking for wine, women, and song at Classic FM Live, this is about as close as you'll get. Operatic quartet Amore, otherwise known as David, Monica, Peter and Victoria, chatted to Tim Lihoreau ahead of their performance this evening.

Glasses of bubbly in hand, they share the story of their record signing in a coffee shop, and explain how they tackle choosing repertoire for performance. Luckily, as a soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor, and baritone, much of the world's greatest operatic music is already composed for their voices.
