Alfie Boe records the official Team GB Olympic Anthem

Tenor Alfie Boe is to team up with Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh for the Official Team GB and Paralympics anthem for the 2012 London Olympics. They will be joined by the Youth Music voices choir on a special version of 'One Vision', the renowned track written by legendary rock band Queen.


Alfie and Kimberley will perform the Team GB Anthem at the official launch party for Team GB and Paralympics GB on Friday 11th May at the Royal Albert Hall marking the final countdown to the Olympic 2012 Games. The event will be attended by Prince William and Katherine, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. 

Alfie Boe has sung lead roles on the world’s most prestigious opera stages and most recently led the cast of Les Misérables at the 25th Anniversary performances from the 02 arena and subsequently at The Queen’s Theatre. Alfie’s last two studio albums, released on Decca, reached the Top 10 of the UK Pop Charts attaining 'platinum'. He is currently working on his new album to be released later this year.

Kimberley Walsh shot to fame with the chart-topping girl group, Girls Aloud and has since had four Number 1 singles and two Number 1 albums, selling over ten million records worldwide. Kimberley is currently taking the role of Princess Fiona in Shrek The Musical at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

One Vision One Vision is released by Decca Records on 11th May, in association with LOCOG (The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games), The BOA (British Olympic Association), and The BPA (British Paralympic Association).
